Museums & Discount Tickets/Memberships

Minnesota Children's Museum(MCM)- Now- September 11, 2011 there is a LEGO® Castle Adventure. This Museum & its sponsors offer several ways to save money and make going to this museum affordable for families.  There is a free ride program called Second Saturday Rides sponsored by MTC.  You can ride the bus to and from for free which means that you will save on parking and gas plus save an addition $2 each admission!
Another discount admission program is Target Free 3rd Sundays, obviously sponsored by our very own Target Corporation.  This makes admission for everyone on the 3rd Sunday of each month free.
Passport to Play is another to get a discounted admission.  They have modified this since it first came out so please make note.  Now, this ticket that you can check out with your Dakota county library card admits 2 people free and then provides $2 off admissions for up to 4 additional people.  Even though there are no holds allowed - sometimes if you call the specific library and tell them that you are on your way they will set it aside as courtesy for usually no longer than 30 minutes♥
The MCM also has a needs-based membership for low-income family to receive a free membership and its really quite easy just bring your proof with you and they don it right then and there!  Just click the "needs-based membership" link above for more details.  So, if you are think what I am thinking....the answer is YES!  You can get a free membership and use the second Saturday ride program and bring your own lunch (they have a seating and vending area for lunches and snacks) and your entire trip and visit will be completely FREE!  ________________________________________________
